Hey,
my name is Mika and I gonna tell you how I made my way into documentary photography:
In 2015, I made the decision to meticulously document the Balkan route through photography over several months. A year later, I embarked on studying Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography at the HS Hannover.
In 2022, I studied abroad at the Pathshala Media Institute of South East Asia in Bangladesh. Currently, I live and work in Hamburg as a photographer for magazines and NGOs.
In my independent projects, I delve into societal structures, exploring how they have evolved and adapted during crises over the years. I also examines issues of social injustice and migration, continuously striving to innovate narrative forms.
